Vigo County Schools to Return to In Person Learning Monday Jan. 4th.

A/B schedule will resume.

The Vigo County School Corporation feels that since the Covid 19 numbers have dropped significantly and the county is no longer facing a Surge in Covid cases it can effectively resume in class learning on Jan. 4th.

Elementary School students will attend in person 5 days a week, unless a particular school does not have enough staff, then only the understaffed school elementary school will move back to remote learning.

All middle and high schools will resume the A/B schedule with Mondays being a remote learning day.

Students assigned to “A” group will attend school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Students in the “B” group will go to school on Wednesdays and Fridays. A staff shortage for any given school will result in that school being placed on remote learning.

Vigo County School officials anticipate that since the FFCLA 80 hours of free leave has expired for teachers, most will come to work and save their sick days.
