Vigo County Budget to top $67 million

The list of Council member all voted to pass a $12million dollar increase to the County Budget on Thursday Oct. 3rd.

The $67 million dollar budget includes a much anticipated across the board raise of 4% for all county employees.

Council President Aaron Laudermilk told a local news outlet that this hasn’t happened in years and that “a raise in county government hasn’t been seen in a long time.”

He also hopes that the current employees are “appreciative”

2019’s budget provided a 1.2% raise for county workers. The combined total for 2019 and 2020 will be 5.2% and include everyone including council members.
