Hoosiers have helped to save 830 fellow Hoosiers LIVES by staying at home, maintaining 6 feet of distance from others, and washing their hands. The people of Indiana may just save even more.
The latest update to Healthdata.org has shown a significant drop in the projected death toll due to Covid-19 for Hoosiers.
On March 30th the peak Indiana Peak daily death toll was projected to be 97 on April 16th with a cumulative death toll of 1687 by Aug. 4th.
Those numbers have been dropped based on the strict social distancing guidelines Indiana has adopted.
April 16th is still projected to be the apex, but the new estimate is 45 deaths on that day in Indiana.
These numbers may continue to decrease if the strict policies being pushed by State Health officials are followed by residents of the Hoosier State.
